Model photos "The Gilmaur Hall of Fame"
Gilmaur Since 1985 Gilmaur has produced etched brass kits of US diesel locomotives. Over time the technology has improved and now Gilmaur artwork for the etching process is done on computers using CAD software. The result is increased accuracy which results in a correct fit of the parts, which is key to the builders enjoyment in assembling the kit. The accuracy of CAD makes possible techniques such as 'tab and slot' which enable the modeler to hold the parts in their precise location for soldering. Today Gilmaur kits are known for their quality and ease of assembly. The comments of modelers who have built the kits is very encouraging, and should give confidence to those considering building their first brass loco kit. A selection of these comments can be found on the "References" page. In addition, pictures of models built from Gilmaur kits are shown in the "Gilmaur Hall of Fame".
